White Back on Board With Storm

Oklahoma Storm News Release


ENID, OK-Quannas White, the former University of Oklahoma star who was named United States Basketball League Player of the Year last season, will join the Oklahoma Storm for a third season when the team opens play later this month.

White, who helped lead the Sooners to the NCAA Final Four during his collegiate career, was the starting point guard for the two-time defending Midwest Division champion Storm. Last year, he was named USBL Player of the Year while leading his team to a league best record of 23-9. He averaged 12 points, 3.5 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game last season. In his first season, 2005, White averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.

"I told Quannas that I needed him to lead this team." Storm Head Coach Roy Rogers stated. "He knows what it takes to be successful in this league and he has done just that."

The Storm season opens at Jackson, Mississippi against the Wildcats on April 22. The home opener is April 24 when the Albany Patroons come to Mark Price Arena.
