Wheat Kings Deal Zimmer to Hurricanes

Brandon, MB - The Brandon Wheat Kings have dealt forward Tyson Zimmer('04) to the Lethbridge Hurricanes, in exchange for a 2023 3th round Prospects Draft pick (previously acquired from Red Deer) and a 2024 5th round Prospects Draft pick (previously acquired by Seattle).

Zimmer, a former 1st round pick of the Wheat Kings in the WHL Bantam Draft played 87 games in the black and gold, scoring 12 times and added 13 assists for 25 points.

"These decisions are always difficult, especially when good people are involved" said Wheat Kings General Manager Marty Murray. "But we thought for Tyson's sake, it was important for him to play a bigger role than we could offer him here. Tyson is a good player, hopefully he can find his confidence and excel in a new environment."

The Brandon Wheat Kings organization wants to wish Tyson all the best with his new club.
