WHA2 Announces Next Dual Broadcast

December 16, 2003 - SPHL (SPHL) News Release

CELEBRATION, Fla. – The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today announced that the next dual broadcast will take place on Saturday, December 20, when the Miami Manatees take on the Lakeland Loggerheads.

The WHA2 announced last week that for select audio broadcasts during the season both team broadcasters will call the game together. For each period, one team's broadcaster will call play-by-play while the other team's broadcaster will be the color analyst. While the teams battle it out on the ice, the broadcasters will compete good-naturedly over the airwaves.

Listen as Manatees broadcaster Mark Fischel and Loggerheads broadcaster Peter Jay call all the exciting WHA2 hockey action.

"I had been hearing from the rest of the broadcasters how the dual broadcast is fun and keeps you on your toes as these guys are all pretty witty." Jay said. "I'm looking forward to doing my first dual broadcast with Mark."

"I'm just working my way through all the broadcasters." Fischel joked. "Last week, Adam Minnick from the Trax tested my mettle when the Trax shut out the Manatees. Peter better be ready as I'll be sharp from sparing with Adam."

All games can be heard on www.IRN.FM and are $1.99 per game.
