LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks and Westwind Homes will team up this weekend at the 12th Annual Parade of Homes. Fans can register to win one of two suite nights at a 2009-10 Bucks home game at the LEC by visiting the two Westwind Homes locations, at the Las Ventanas Subdivision off Highway 59 (5320 Lost Hills), and 121 Veracruz . There will be several other prizes to be given away by Westwind Homes.
*Bucky, Benway To Sing At Parade Of Stars*
Bucky, and Bucks broadcaster Bryan Benway are scheduled to compete in the Third Annual Parade of Stars Sunday afternoon (May 3rd) at 1pm at the Las Ventanas Subdivision off Highway 59 (5320 Lost Hills).
Bucky and Benway are scheduled to sing a duet onstage at the Parade of Stars, which is a vocal contest to find the most talented singers in Laredo. First place in the contest wins a trip for two to Las Vegas, with second and third place winning $300 and $150, respectfully.
"I have always wanted to go on American Idol, so this is the next best thing", Benway said. "I think Bucky and I have decided to sing Bon Jovi's âLiving on a Prayer'. It should be interesting".
The Third Annual Parade of Stars will take place during the 12th Annual Parade of Homes, located at the Las Ventanas Subdivision off Highway 59 (5320 Lost Hills).
The vocal contest will be judged by Border Media Disc Jockeys and other local celebrities.
"Well, Bucky can't talk or sing, so we're hoping that his charm wins the judges over. That's our best shot to take the title", said Benway.
The Bucks will start their eighth season in the Gateway City in October, and will host the 2010 All-Star game in January.
