Western New York Flash News Release

ELMA, N.Y. (Thursday, January 29, 2015) - The Western New York Flash announced today that the club has signed Cameroon National Team forward Ajara Nchout Njoya and Denmark National Team forward Camilla Kur-Larsen, pending the receipt of their P-1 visas and International Transfer Certificates (ITC). Per team and league policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Nchout Njoya and Kur-Larsen represent the first two internationals signed by the Flash this season. The team currently has a total of six international roster spots for 2015.

"We're bringing in two dynamic, young forwards who have a proven ability to score goals," said Flash general manager and head coach Aaran Lines. "Ajara is a player that we expect to learn a lot in the Women's World Cup and return to the Flash hungry to help her team. Camilla, on the other hand, will be with us for the entire season and we're excited for her to bring her Champions League and international experience to our club."

Nchout Njoya has earned 25 caps with the Cameroon Women's National Team, scoring seven goals in those appearances. In October, Nchout Njoya helped Cameroon qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup after a second-place finish in the 2014 CAF African Women's Championship.

In 2012, Nchout Njoya featured in all three group stage matches of the London Olympic Games, facing Great Britain, Brazil and New Zealand. She also brings in previous experience from the U-17 and U-20 FIFA Women's World Cup Qualifiers in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

At 22-years-old, Nchout Njoya joins the Flash after a season with AS Police de Yaoundé in Cameroon. During the 2012-13 season, Nchout Njoya led FC Rossiyanka to a Russian Premier League silver medal and an appearance in the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals. It was her second time in the Champions League, having reached the Round of 16 the season prior with FC Engergiya Voronezh. Nchout Njoya totaled seven goals over her 37 matches with the two Russian teams.

Prior to moving to the Russian Premier League, Nchout Njoya played with Franck Rohliceck Douala from 2007-2010 in Cameroon.

Kur-Larsen, 25, has spent the last three seasons playing with Danish side Fortuna Hjørring. In her first year with the club, she appeared in 11 matches and scored seven goals. She followed that up with a 20-goal season in 2013-14. Through 10 games with Fortuna, Kur-Larsen has totaled eight goals and also appeared in four Champions League matches, scoring three times. In all, Kur-Larsen has appeared in 31 Champions League games, putting seven goals in the back of the net.

The forward most recently featured in a two-game series with New Zealand on January 12 and 15, where she earned her fourth and fifth caps with the Danish National Team, respectively.

Before joining Fortuna, Kur-Larsen was an offensive juggernaut at Brøndby IF, scoring 66 goals over three seasons of League and Cup competition. She also had stints with Skjold BK and AC 2670 in Denmark and the Colorado Rapids Women of the USL W-League. Kur-Larsen won the Danish League Championship in 2014 with Fortuna and both 2011 and 2012 with Brøndby. Brøndby also won the Danish Cup in those two seasons.

Both players are expected to join the Flash for the start of the 2015 NWSL preseason. Nchout Njoya and Cameroon have been drawn into Group C for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and will begin play against Ecuador on June 8 in Vancouver.
