Westchester Flames Announce Super Y League Tryout Information

The Westchester Flames are pleased to announce updated dates/places for open tryouts for their youth program's Boys and Girls Super Y League teams. Open tryouts for the Super Y League are for elite youth players who have aspirations to play at the highest level of competition. Specifics on Girls' Tryouts
Tryouts for the Under 17 and Under 16 Girls teams will be held on Monday January 19 and 26, and Monday February 2 from 7:30 to 9 pm at the Sports Underdome in Mount Vernon, NY. Tryouts for the Under 14 and Under 15 Girls teams will be held at the Underdome on Monday, January 26th and on Monday, February 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

All girls players should try to contact the designated girls team representatives prior to attending a tryout session or to obtain additional information prior to registration.
Girls players born on or after January 1, 1988 i.e., for the Westchester Flames' GU16 team, should contact John Ruocco at FCYLeague89@aol.com or Evan Marks at evanmarks@mounthollyroad.com .
Girls players born between January 1 and December 31, 1987, i.e., for the Westchester Flames' GU17 team, should contact Mike Lewis at FOURONWALL@aol.com .

The Super Y League is an elite youth development league that serves as a vehicle for identifying the best youth players across North America. The USL, the largest system of professional soccer leagues in North America, introduced the Super Y League in the late 1990s with a view to identifying elite level youth players so that players are better equipped to move to the professional and/or national arena. Last year there were nearly 700 Super Y League teams competing across the US and Canada.
