Cody Coffman went 1 for 3 with a run scored to help the West Division to a 4-2 victory over the East Division in the 2011 All-Star Game held in Beckley, West Virginia on Wednesday.
Matt Tellor was 0 for 1 in his only plate appearance, but played very well defensively over 4 innings for the West at first base.
Earlier in the day, Coffman put on a display in the Home Run Derby making it all the way to the finals, where he put up a respectable runner-up finish after exploding in the first round finishing tied for first.
Both players fared well in the pro workout in front of the many major league scouts who attended.
Springfield Sliders will return home Friday, July 15 with first pitch at 6:35.
