West defeats East in MISL All-Star Game

MILWAUKEE - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) hosted its annual All-Star Game this afternoon from the Bradley Center in front of 8,429 fans. Tatu joined players from the Kansas City Comets, Milwaukee Wave and San Diego Sockers to defeat the Eastern Conference squad 20-13.

The Most Valuable Player of the Game went to Dino Delevski of the Kansas City Comets who recorded a hat trick and scored the game winning goal.

The West opened the scoring (3-0) when Alex Zotinca of the Comets scored a three-point goal off an assist from Nino DaSilva of Kansas City at 11:14 of the first quarter. The East got on the board (3-2) when John Ball of the Force scored an unassisted two-point goal at 11:38. The West added to its lead (5-2) when Dino Delevski of the Comets found the back of the net on a volley off the boards from San Diego's Carlos "Chile" Farias at 12:31.

The East cut the lead to one point (5-4) when P.J. Wakefield of the Blast scored unassisted at 1:35 of the second quarter. Milwaukee's Todd Dusosky also added to the West's scoring when he found the back of the net off the cross from Delevski at 8:39. The West opened the second half scoring (9-4) when Delevski scored his second goal of the game from Gaston Pernia of the Sockers at 2:58 in the third quarter.

The East snapped a 4-0 run by the West (9-6) when Wakefield scored his second goal of the game off the cross from Don D'Ambra of the KiXX at 8:08 in the third quarter. The West quickly responded (12-6) when Lovelace Ackah of the Wave scored a three-point restart goal at 8:44.

The East cut into the lead (12-8) when Pat Morris of Philadelphia scored a two-point goal off the pass from Denison Cabral of the Blast at 3:11 of the final quarter. The East got to within a goal (12-10) when Genoni Martinez scored the penalty kick power play two-point goal at 6:50. The East took its first lead of the game (13-12) when Martinez scored his second goal of the quarter on a three-point blast at 9:48. The West regained the lead (15-13) when Delevski picked up the hat trick on a three-point goal off the pass from Joe Reiniger of Milwaukee at 13:01. The West sealed the game (17-13) when Todd Dusosky scored his second goal of the game against the sixth attacker at 14:48. The West added another three-point goal (20-17) when DaSilva found the back of the net against the sixth attacker at 14:56.

Dallas' Tatu was honored at half time for his accomplishments in indoor soccer with a plaque and a rocking chair.
