Texas Road Trip
Wednesday's game against the Wildcats is the Wild's first of five road games in Texas over the next 10 days.
After this week's 3-game series against Wichita Falls, the Wild have a 2-game series against the Texas Tornado on Jan. 15-16.

When they return from their Texas road trip, the Wild will be at home for 11 straight games. Over that stretch, the Wild will host: Fairbanks on Jan. 22 & 23; Alaska on Jan. 29 & 30; Texas on Feb. 19 & 20; Kenai River on Feb. 25, 26 & 27; Wichita Falls on March 6 & 7.

Wild Sweep Avalanche After Long Holiday Break
After going nearly a month without a game, the Wild rang in the New Year by sweeping division foe Alaska in a 2-game series last weekend. Wenatchee defeated Alaska 6-1 on Jan. 2, and 5-1 on Jan. 3.
McLean Honored
Wild defenseman Alex McLean (Duluth, Minn.) was named the Sherwood/NAHL West Player of the Week on Monday. McLean recorded four points in the Wild's 2-game sweep of the Avalanche. He scored a goal on Jan. 3 and assisted on three goals, including Nolan Youngmun's (Anchorage, Alaska) game-winner, on Jan. 2. McLean, 19, was a plus-4 against the Avalanche last weekend.
Jensen Mentioned Again
Brendan Jensen (El Granada, Calif.) was an Honorable Mention selection for the Sherbrook Hockey/NAHL Goalie of the Week on Monday. He earned both wins against Alaska last weekend, turning aside 16-of-17 shots on Jan. 2 and 32-of-33 shots on Jan. 3.
Jensen is 5-0-1 with the Wild. He owns a goals-against average of.98 and a save percentage of.963.
Jensen was also an Honorable Mention selection for the Sherbrook Hockey/NAHL Goalie of the Week on Dec. 7.
Hilbrich Still Streaking
Christian Hilbrich (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) stretched his consecutive points streak to six games. Last weekend, he recorded an assist against Alaska on Jan. 2, and scored the game-winning goal on Jan. 3. Hilbrich has scored 10 goals with four assists this season.
Hilbrich's game-winning goal on Jan. 3 was his sixth game-winner of the season. He now leads the NAHL in game-winning goals.
Hughes Gets First Point
Defenseman Ben Hughes (Jacksonville, Fla.), the most recent addition to the Wild roster, recorded his first assist with the team in Sunday's 5-1 win over Alaska on Michael Di Puma's (Chicago, Ill.) third-period goal. Hughes is a plus-two after two games with the Wild.
Top Scoring Threats
Wenatchee: Jeff Jubinville (Edmonton, AB) was the first Wild player to reach 30 points this season. He has scored 14 goals and 16 assists this season. Defenseman Kyle Brodie (Northglenn, Col.) is the team's second leading scorer with 27 points (8G, 19A).
Wichita Falls: Forward Brian Sheehan leads the Wildcats with 35 points (22G, 13A). Forward Tyler Lundey is the team's second leading scorer with 25 points (8G, 17A).
Wild vs. Wildcats
Wenatchee is 2-0 this season against Wichita Falls. The Wild defeated the Wildcats 6-5 on Oct. 30, and 4-2 on Oct. 31.
Brodie scored two goals and added three assists in the Wild's previous two games against the Wildcats this season.
Sheehan and Lundey each have two goals and two assists against Wenatchee this season.

Wenatchee is 7-1-2 in its last 10 games and 14-3-1 on the road this season.
Wichita Falls is 4-5-1 in its last 10 games and 5-7-3 at home.
