RAPIDS HOST FC DALLAS ON SATURDAY: This Saturday, the Colorado Rapids return home to take on FC Dallas at 7:00 p.m. MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, after suffering a 2-1 defeat at Seattle on July 7. The Rapids are 7-10-1 (W-L-T), and face FC Dallas (3-9-7) this Saturday looking to gain momentum from a home win before taking to the road for Toronto FC on July 18 and Real Salt Lake on July 21. The Coca-Cola Family Night package is available for this game, which includes four tickets, four meals, and four Coca-Cola drinks for $49. RAPIDS HOST WORLD CUP OF WINE AND BEER ON THURSDAY: The fifth annual World Cup of Wine and Beer, hosted by the Colorado Rapids and Kroenke Sports Charities, takes place this Thursday, July 12 on the concourse at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The event, which will be attended by Rapids players and coaches, is one of several fundraising events put on annually by Kroenke Sports Charities and features food and drinks from Rapids partners and area businesses, gaming tables, a silent auction and more. "KICKING & SCREAMING" AT CIVIC CENTER PARK ON JULY 15: The Colorado Rapids have partnered with the Civic Center Conservancy to present "Kicking & Screaming" on Sunday, July 15 at Civic Center Park from 7:30 - 11 p.m. as part of Denver's 2012 Movies in the Park Series. Rapids players Drew Moor, Brian Mullan, MartÃ-n Rivero, and Andre Akpan will be at the event from 7:30 - 8:30 to meet with fans and sign autographs, and the Colorado Rapids Street Team will be there starting at 6:30 p.m. with giveaways and activities for children. UNDER-18 TEAM PREPARING FOR U.S. SOCCER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY FINALS WEEK: The Colorado Rapids Under-18 Team has just one week of training left before they leave for Houston to participate in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week. Two weeks ago, they won their group in Development Academy Playoffs in Dallas with a 2-1-0 record to become just one of eight teams across the nation to qualify for Finals Week. The team's schedule for Finals Week, which begins on July 16 in Houston, Texas, will be released later this week, and more information can be found by clicking here .
RAPIDS FACE SWANSEA CITY IN FRIENDLY ON JULY 24 : Tickets to the July 24 matchup between Colorado Rapids and English Premier League side Swansea City are on sale to the public and start at $22, and a special two-pack offer with the September 5 game against the Portland Timbers is available for $40. The Swans finished their 2011-12 Premier League season with an impressive 1-0 victory over 8th place Liverpool to give them a 12-15-11 record, good for 11th in the table.
