ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the ninth week of the 2005-2006 season with a 14-8-0-1 record (10-1-0-0 at home, 4-7-0-1 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 1-1 in shootout) and tied for first place in the BC DIVISION with the KELOWNA ROCKETS...The ICE will play six of their next nine games on the road.
DID YOU KNOW: RYAN RUSSELL is fourth in the WHL in overall scoring with 28 points...ADAM CRACKNELL is tied for tenth in the League in overall scoring with 25 points...MIKE BUSTO is tied for fourth in the WHL in scoring by Defensemen with 18 points...MAREK CURILLA is ninth in the League in scoring by Rookies with 15 points...DALE MAHOVSKY needs to play in five more games to reach 300 in his WHL career and needs one point (74-125-199) to reach 200 in his career...MAHOVSKY has moved into second place on KOOTENAY'S all-time assists list with 125 (JARRET STOLL is first with 162 career assists)...ADAM CRACKNELL needs five points to reach 150 in his WHL career...RYAN RUSSELL needs six points to reach 100 in his WHL career and four goals to reach 50.
SCORING STREAKS: RYAN RUSSELL has recorded at least one point in each of his last five games (3-4-7 in span)...CASEY LEE has recorded at least one point in each of his last four games (3-1-4 in span)...BEN MAXWELL (2-1-3) and ADAM CRACKNELL (0-3-3 in span) have both recorded at least one point in each of their last three games.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 23 games of the 2004-2005 season the ICE were14-7-2-0 and after 24 games 15-7-2-0.
TRANSACTION: KOOTENAY reassigned Goaltender TYLER PUGH to the DRAYTON VALLEY THUNDER of the ALBERTA JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE on Monday, November 14.
