Weekend Tournament To Help Wounded Deputy

[KISSIMMEE, Fla.] -The Florida Seals are proud to announce the Adam Pierce Holiday Tournament will be held at the Silver Spurs Arena. The tournament begins today and will continue until Saturday afternoon.
This hockey tournament has been set up to aide Deputy Pierce and his family. Pierce was shot and wounded in the line of duty and has been paralyzed. The Florida Seals have donated over 20 hours of ice time to make sure the tournament can be held in Central Florida.
Ted Reiman and Adam's twin brother Matt, organized this donation only tournament over the past few weeks to help benefit their friend, co-worker and teammate. Adam Pierce was often seen around Central Florida playing in various hockey recreational leagues while off-duty. Unfortunately, due to the events on Oct. 10, 2005 he is not able to join his friends on the ice any longer.
Throughout the weekend, games will be played by teams that have entered this tournament . The Florida Seals will also raise money at their two weekend home games. Fans can buy raffle tickets for $1 with all proceeds benefiting the Adam Pierce trust fund.
Prizes in the raffle include, Seals autographed jerseys, Florida Seals ticket packs, Tampa Bay Lightning tickets, Sun Sports Back Stage Passes and many more hockey memorabilia. The raffle tickets can be bought at Seals home games on Friday and Saturday night or throughout the tournament hockey games. Florida has enjoyed a week off before returning home against Huntsville on Friday, Dec. 30. They will also play at the Silver Spurs New Year's Eve against the Columbus Cottonmouths. Both games start at 7:35pm. Friday night's games can be heard on Talk Radio 1190 WAMT while Saturday will heard on Sports Radio 1080.
