Jacksonville Barracudas News Release

The Jacksonville Barracudas will host their 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Blood Drive in front of Veteran's Memorial Arena on Saturday, December 31st from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The first 25 people who register to donate blood will receive a free ticket to that evening's game versus the Huntsville Havoc. All donors will also receive a Blood Alliance holiday tumbler and 2006 calendar. Plus one lucky donor will win a pair of tickets to the 2006 Toyota Gator Bowl.

Last year, 19 'Cudas fans gave almost 50 people the opportunity to ring in the New Year. This year, you can end 2005 by giving someone a chance to see 2006.

To give blood, you must be in general good health, age 17, weigh at least 110 pounds, and eating prior to donating is helpful. Each blood donation saves up to three lives and all blood drawn locally by The Blood Alliance is used by local hospitals and patients. Remember, you may be helping to save the life of a family member or friend!
