Maine Nordiques News Release
It was a big weekend for the Maine Nordiques, who took on the first place Titans on the road. MNDP goalie Marco Duronio got his 2nd start of his NAHL career in net on Friday night. The Titans scored 3 straight goals before captain Noah Kane netted a goal on the man advantage. He was assisted by Cannon Green and Tim Kent. The Titans and Nords would trade goals before the period ended. Isaiah Fox from Kane. 4-2 after 2. After a back and forth scoreless first 10 minutes to start the 3rd the Titans struck again before Cannon Green answered. He was helped by Kane and Fox. The Titans would get it back exactly a minute later. That fired opur boys and Kent and Green scored within a minute to make it a 1 goal game. The Nordiques gained possession in the offense end and Marco was headed to the bench for the 6th attacker when the Titans re-gained the puck and scored on the breakaway to seal the deal. 7-5 for a Titan win, however Captain Noah Kane had 5 points in the loss with 1 goal and 4 assists.
The team was looking to split the weekend, however, the Titans scored 4 straight goals before Tim Kent and Ethan Prout answered. The Titans would add another with less than 5 minutes left to claim the 5-2 win.
