WHAT: Game 1 and 2 of the Best Of Five Series - Robertson Cup Playoffs South Division Semi-Final Series

WHEN: Tomorrow (Friday) at 7 pm, Saturday at 6 pm.

PROMOTIONS: FRIDAY - Puck Drop at 7 pm - Game Sponsored by the Amarillo Civic Center Complex. Doors Open at 5:30 pm to avoid the Paid Parking, first 1,000 fans through the doors receive a Rally Towel, first 200 fans get a free hotdog. SATURDAY - Puck Drop at 6 pm - Game Sponsored by Jimmy John's, The Big Texan, and Pop Stop. The First 500 fans receive a Team Poster.

Broadcast coverage begins with Prelude To The Playoffs Presented By Fit Omni Mobile Tire Service, 30 minutes before the puck is dropped - at 6:30 pm on Friday and 5:30 pm on Saturday.

THE SERIES: It's the second all-time meeting in the post season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi Icerays. The Bulls beat the IceRays during the 2012-13 Robertson Cup Playoffs in Four Games. During the regular season, the Bulls posted a record of 10-1-0-1 in 12 meetings that featured tripleheaders for each of the weekend.

BULLS PLAYOFF HISTORY: The Amarillo Bulls are making their first trip to the Robertson Cup Playoffs since the 2013-14 campaign. Overall, the Bulls are 26-9 in the South Division playoffs with their lone series loss coming in 2013-14 to the Topeka RoadRunners in five games in the South Division Final. Prior to that loss, the Bulls had won seven straight series.

PLAYOFF PRIMER: The other South Division Semi-Final Series features the #2 seed Lone Star Brahmas hosting the #3 seed Shreveport Mudbugs. The two teams met twice last weekend and have the potential to face one another five more times. In the East the NAHL Overall champion Johnstown Tomahawks host the #4 seed Northeast Generals, while the Jamestown Rebels take on the New Jersey Titans. The Generals secured the playoff spot on the final weekend of the regular season. In the Midwest Division, the Fairbanks IceDogs host the Janesville Jets, and the Springfield Jr. Blues face the Minnesota Magicians. In the Central Division, the Aberdeen Wings take on the Austin Bruins, while the Bismarck Bobcats face the Minot Minotauros.

ROBERTSON CUP PLAYOFF FORMAT 101: The two Clubs in each division that won a division semifinal series shall compete in a best-of-five series against each other. The division finals may begin no earlier than Thursday, April 25, 2019 and conclude no later than Sunday, May 5, 2019. Clubs shall cooperate to schedule division final series competition. The higher seeded Club will have the right to host up to three games. The lower seeded Club must be able to host a minimum of two games.

NAHL ROBERTSON CUP CHAMPIONSHIP: The four divisional playoff champions will advance to the Robertson Cup Championship, which will be held at the Fogerty Arena in Blaine, Minnesota. Clubs will be seeded 1-4 based upon their finish in the NAHL regular-season standings. If necessary, the tie-breaking policy adopted in the NAHL Rules and Regulations will be applied to determine the final seeding. The game schedule will be as follows: The #1 Seed will face the #4 seed in a best of three series. The #2 seed will face the #3 seed in a best of three series. The two series winners will advance on to a one-game playoff to determine the Robertson Cup Champion. The event will begin on Friday, May 10th and conclude on Tuesday, May 14th.
