Week 9 Players Of The Week Announced

Omaha, NE - Dusty Burk, Dustin Creager and George Hill have been selected as United Indoor Football (UIF) players of the week for their play in week 9 of the UIF season.

Burk, quarterback for the Bloomington Extreme, earns Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in last week's game. In Bloomington's 51-42 win over the RiverCity Rage, he completed 17 of 27 passes for 180 yards and five touchdowns. Burk added 51 rushing yards to finish his evening with 231 yards of total offense. He currently leads the Extreme in both of the rushing and passing categories. So far this season, Burk has thrown for 1,528 yards and 28 touchdowns while also rushing for 179 yards and three touchdowns. This weekend, he and his teammates hit the road and will face the Billings Outlaws Saturday evening at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.

Creager, defensive back for the Omaha Beef, has been tabbed as Defensive Player of the Week. Last weekend, against the Wichita Wild, he tallied a team-high eight tackles (seven solo, two solo) and a tackle for loss. Creager also made three interceptions (one returned 22 yards for a touchdown) and broke up a pass in the team's 67-16 victory. In addition, he returned a missed field goal 30 yards to set up a Beef scoring drive. This weekend, Omaha will head north on Interstate 29 and take on the Sioux City Bandits Saturday evening at the Tyson Events Center.

Hill, wide receiver for the Colorado Ice, is honored with Special Teams Player of the Week. He returned four kicks for 79 yards, one of which was a 41-yard return for a touchdown in the Ice's 39-37 win over the Billings Outlaws last Friday evening. In addition, Hill caught three passes for 35 yards and two touchdowns. This weekend, Hill and the Ice welcome the Wichita Wild to the Budweiser Events Center at the Ranch Saturday evening.
