NEED TO KNOW
ROUGHNECKS
The undefeated Roughnecks can take a two-game stranglehold on the West in this Texas Throwdown with a win, while Dallas can take a share of the division lead by protecting its home turf.
In a game featuring dynamic duos, none shine brighter than Houston QB P.J. Walker and WR Cam Phillips. Walker is lapping the field with 748 yards passing and 11 total touchdowns against just one pick. As for his favorite target, Phillips (league-best 324 yards and 7 TDs) seems to get more open each week.
Houston has given up 68 points, including nine touchdowns to tie for the league high, but the defense has made its share of big plays by forcing six turnovers.
RENEGADES
Slow starts continue to plague the Renegades, despite a two-game winning streak. Dallas, which has yet to lead at halftime this season, turns it on after intermission by outscoring foes 40-12, as QB Landry Jones seems to find his rhythm after the break.
TE Donald Parham ranks third overall in the XFL with 217 receiving yards, the only tight end in the league among the top 20.
RB Cameron Artis-Payne's 185 rushing yards rank second in the XFL, with 87 percent of those yards (161) coming after halftime in the last two victories.
