Wednesday's Indians-Yankees Game Postponed

INDIANAPOLIS -- Wednesday afternoon's International League contest between the Indianapolis Indians and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees has been postponed due to rain.

The teams will now wrap up their four-game series with a doubleheader on Thursday at 10 a.m. EDT. Both games will be scheduled for seven innings. Gates will open at 9:30 a.m.

Scranton/W-B RHP Jason Stephens and Indianapolis RHP Ty Taubenheim are the probable starters for game one, while Yankees LHP Casey Fossum and Indians LHP Tom Gorzelanny are expected to get the nod in game two.

Both of Thursday afternoon's contests will be carried by WXLW-950 AM and www.IndyIndians.com with Howard Kellman and Scott McCauley. The pre-game show begins at 9:40 a.m.

Fans with tickets to Wednesday afternoon's contest may exchange them for tickets of equal value to another 2009 regular-season home game. All exchanges are based on availability and must be made at the Victory Field Box Office.
