Milwaukee Wave United News Release

(Milwaukee, WI) Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team announced today that it has signed forward Sean Reti for the upcoming 2004 season. The 24-year old Reti (pronounced "ready") returns to the Wave organization following one season with the Wave indoor squad during the 2002-03 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) campaign.

"A year away from soccer made me realize how much I love the game and being away made me that much more determined to resume my professional career," said Reti. "I'm not going to take anything for granted this year and I appreciate having another opportunity to represent the Wave organization."

A former star at Brookfield (WI) East H.S. and Marquette University, Reti is also resuming an A-League career that began with the now-defunct Milwaukee Rampage in 2002. The 5-6, 150 lb. Canoga Park, CA native appeared in nine games that season, logging 422 minutes with no goals and one assist (one point).

"Sean's speed and aggressiveness make him a valuable asset to any team," said Milwaukee Vice-President of Soccer Operations Keith Tozer, who was also Reti's coach when Sean played for the Wave in 2002-03. "We're very glad to have him back in the Wave organization."

Said Wave United Coach Art Kramer, "Sean is like the ‘energizer bunny.' He's an extremely dangerous one v. one player whose lightning speed and relentless energy should provide us with a spark on both ends of the field."

Wave United kicks-off the 2004 A-League campaign on Friday, May 14, 7:05 PM when it hosts the Edmonton Aviators at Uihlein Soccer Park (7101 W. Good Hope Rd. on Milwaukee's northwest side). Call the Wave / Wave United Office at 414-224-WAVE (9283) for tickets or more information.
