Milwaukee Wave United News Release

(Milwaukee, WI) Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team is currently auditioning a pair of European players as it looks to bolster its roster for the remainder of the 2003 season.

Midfielder Steve Clegg and forward Doudou have been working out with Milwaukee the past two weeks in order for the Wave United coaching staff to evaluate their potential as future team members. Both players come from England where they recently completed their respective 2002-03 seasons.

A native of Ashton-under-Lyne Tameside, England the 19-year old Clegg is a former member of the Manchester United U-19 squad. His father Michael is the strength and conditioning coach for Manchester United while his older brother Michael Jr. is a former player who made 24 first team appearances for "Man. U." from 1996-2001.

The 22-year old Doudou, a native of Zaire, has spent the past two seasons with Queens Park Rangers (QPR), a Division II side in the English Football Association. He tallied three goals in 25 first team appearances with QPR during that span.

According to Wave United Vice-President of Soccer Operations Keith Tozer, "Having Doudou and Steven here reinforces the relationship between our club, QPR, and English soccer. We're excited about the potential short-term and long-term prospects that might develop."
