Wave United announces preseason schedule

(Milwaukee, WI) Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team announced its 2004 pre-season schedule today, a slate featuring five matches against area college teams. Wave United will play four of the five matches at Uihlein Soccer Park, its official training facility and home stadium grounds located at 7101 W. Good Hope Rd. on Milwaukee's northwest side.
"We're fortunate to have some of the nation's top collegiate programs in our region," said Wave United Coach Art Kramer. "I feel that our five pre-season matches against these teams should help our preparation for the upcoming season."
Wave United's 2004 Pre-season Schedule is as follows:

Pre-season training camp is scheduled to begin Monday, April 19. Non-indoor veterans, along with players who are invited back from earlier tryout sessions are expected to be on hand for the opening day of training, while indoor veterans are expected to report one-to-two weeks after the conclusion of the Wave's current Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) campaign, which could last until May 8.
Wave United kicks-off the 2004 season on Friday, May 14, 7:05 PM when it hosts the Edmonton Aviators at Uihlein Soccer Park. Coach Art Kramer's team, which finished the 2003 campaign with the league's best regular season record (18-10-0, 54 points) will once again feature many players from the current Wave indoor squad during the upcoming outdoor season. **All Wave indoor Playoff 4-Packs include two tickets to the Wave United opener on May 14. The Wave indoor team's first Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) playoff game is Friday, April 16, 7:35 PM at U.S. Cellular Arena. That game will be a one-game semi-final match-up (against an opponent to be determined), with the winner advancing to the best-of-five MISL Championship Series starting the following weekend.
