Wave United Announces 2004 A-League Schedule

(Milwaukee, WI) Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team announced its 2004 schedule today featuring 14 regular season home dates at Uihlein Soccer Park, 7101 W. Good Hope Rd. on Milwaukee's northwest side. The 2004 season will be Wave United's second campaign in the A-League, which is the top level of competition in the United Soccer Leagues (USL).
Wave United will kick-off its 2004 campaign by hosting the Edmonton Aviators, one of the A-League's new entries, on Friday, May 14, 7:05 PM at Uihlein Soccer Park. Other highlights on the schedule include:
*Back-to-back meetings with the arch-rival Minnesota Thunder on May 21-22 and June 25-26. The first pair of games (Friday, May 21, 7:05 PM at St. Paul, MN and Saturday, May 22, 7:05 PM at Uihlein) will determine one birth between the clubs in the 2004 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
*Nationally televised games on Fox Sports World on Friday, June 18, 7:05 PM at Virginia Beach and Friday, July 2, 7:05 PM v. Seattle at Uihlein Soccer Park.
Wave United will play each of its six Western Conference rivals four times (two home, two road) to account for 24 of the 28 games on the regular season slate. Milwaukee will also host Eastern Conference rivals Syracuse (June 6, 6:05 PM at Uihlein) and Virginia Beach (July 9, 7:35 PM at Uihlein) while visiting Virginia Beach and Richmond (June 19, 6:05 PM at Richmond).
Individual ticket prices for Wave United home games will remain the same as last season, with adult general admission at $12 and youth general admission (under 12) at $8.
