AUBURN, NY - The Auburn Doubledays of the New York-Penn League, Single-A Short Season affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are proud to announce the renewal of the team's marketing partnership agreement with Finger Lakes Radio Group that will include the live broadcast of 38 games on Finger Lakes News Radio 98.1 FM/1590 AM WAUB for the upcoming 2016 season. The team has also announced the hiring of Michael Tricarico as Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Communications Associate.

This year, all Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Doubledays games, both home and road, will be broadcast live on WAUB. Each of those broadcasts will also be available on the WAUB app and online at FingerLakesDailyNews.com. Additionally, games on July 4, July 13, August 2, and September 5 will be carried live on WAUB for a total of 38 radio broadcasts.

Finger Lakes Radio Group and its stations will also provide marketing support to promote the Doubledays' upcoming season including on-air interviews, live broadcasts from Falcon Park, and more.

"We are very excited to renew our partnership with Finger Lakes Radio Group," said Doubledays General Manager Mike Voutsinas. "There is no question that their support has played a significant role in the 22% attendance increase we have experienced over the last two years."

Frank Lischak, VP of Sales for Finger Lakes Radio Group, adds "this is what local radio is all about. We're proud to be associated with the Auburn Doubledays, and to be broadcasting the games to our listeners. In addition, WAUB news anchor Steve Penstone will be hosting several interviews with Mike Voutsinas weekday mornings throughout the season."

All 76 regular season games will also be available live on AuburnDoubledays.com, the MiLB First Pitch app, Tunein.com, and the TuneIn app. This includes the 38 games that will air on WAUB.

Michael Tricarico will serve as the "Voice of the Doubledays" and media relations coordinator. Tricarico will be a senior at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in the fall. He is majoring in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with minors in Sport Management and Political Science.

Originally from North Syracuse, New York, Tricarico is the Sports Director of WAER Radio in Syracuse and broadcasts Syracuse football, basketball, and lacrosse games. Tricarico was the play-by-play broadcaster for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League last summer and he interned with the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, during the 2014 season, which included doing play-by-play for select games throughout the season.

"I'm excited to be part of a great organization," said Tricarico. "Being from Central New York and having already worked in the Washington Nationals organization with the Syracuse Chiefs, I feel right at home with the Auburn Doubledays."

The Doubledays will open the 2016 season on Friday, June 17 at home against the Batavia Muckdogs at 7:05 p.m. Season ticket plans as well as tickets for the recently announced Meet the Manager Night to be held on Friday, May 27 are on sale now.
