Washington Stealth to Hold Pink in the Rink Facebook Contest Next Week

March 16, 2012 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Washington Stealth News Release

Everett, Wash. - With the Washington Stealth's annual Pink in the Rink event to raise funds for breast cancer prevention and treatment right around the corner, the team has announced a specialized Facebook contest for its fans to spread awareness for the cause. The contest will begin on Monday, March 19 and finish on March 22.

Decorating pink bras is a creative and fun way to shed light on a disease that affects one in eight women. The decorated bras, worn by the creator, serve as a reminder of the importance of early detection and treatment of breast cancer. There are an estimated one million women living in the United States with undiagnosed breast cancer.

The Stealth's Pink in the Rink Bra Contest will give fans a chance to show their support through social media. Fans are asked to decorate a pink bra and post a picture on the Stealth's Facebook page. The five fans whose pictures earn the most 'likes' by March 22 will get to show off their pink bras by leading the Stealth onto the floor at the team's game on Pink in the Rink night March 25.

To post your pink bra photo on the Stealth's Facebook page, visit www.facebook.com/Stealthlax. Winners of the contest will be announced on Friday, March 23.

The Stealth's annual Pink in the Rink event, featuring the "Stick it to Breast Cancer" fundraiser benefiting Providence Comprehensive Breast Center, will take place on March 25 at 4:45pm at the Comcast Arena at Everett. The fundraiser will include a silent auction, featuring game-worn, special edition pink Stealth jerseys and donations from other organizations in the area. For a complete list of fundraising events, visit www.stealthlax.com.

Tickets for the event start at just $7 and are available by calling 877-MY-75-TIX or at www.stealthlax.com.
