Washington Stealth to Face Minnesota in West Division Semi-Final
April 19, 2011 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Washington Stealth News Release
Everett, Wash. - The Washington Stealth completed its regular season schedule with an 8-8 record and currently sits in second place in the National Lacrosse League's West Division.
That second place spot is not guaranteed however, as the Minnesota Swarm (7-8) could take over that position with a win this weekend.
The team that ends the regular season in second place will host a first round playoff game.
The Stealth is just a half game ahead of the Swarm in the West Division standings as the final weekend of the 2011 regular season schedule approaches.
The Stealth, having completed its regular season last weekend, waits to find out its postseason fate as Minnesota closes out its regular season against the Colorado Mammoth, the West's fourth place team, this weekend in St. Paul, Minn.
If Minnesota loses this weekend, the Stealth would host the West Division semi-finals against the Swarm on April 30 at 7:30pm at the Comcast Arena at Everett.
A Minnesota victory would equal the Stealth's 8-8 record, with the Swarm holding the season tiebreaker and the right to host the Stealth on April 30 at the Xcel Energy Center.
The Minnesota Swarm will face the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday, April 23 at 5:30pm PST.
That game can be seen live on the NLL Network at NLL.com.
