Warriors Shutout Ice Rays to Move to 2-0

Goaltender Brach Tiller made 43 saves for the 2nd consecutive game in the Warriors1-0 shutout victory over the Corpus Christi Ice Rays in the Combat Hockey/NAHL Showcase game from Blaine Minnesota.

Grand Blanc's Cody Damon notched his first goal of the season on an assist from Zak Thompson, at the 14:06 mark of the 3rd Period to put the Warriors on top of the Ice Rays. The Warriors goal came as forwards CJ Murray, Thompson and Damon broke out from the zone after a face-off win to the right of Tiller. Damon backhanded the rebound of a Warriors shot past Ice Rays goalie Anthony Stolarz for the lone goal of the game.

Tiller and the Warriors defense stayed strong as Corpus Christi mounted a late charge to tie the contest, with the Ice Rays pulling the goalie for an extra attacker in the last minute of regulation time.
