The Michigan Warriors Fall to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs 4-2 in the 2011 Robertson Cup Final.
Three 3rd period goals by the Fairbanks Ice Dogs propelled the Ice Dogs past the Michigan Warriors 4-2 in the 2011 Robertson Cup Championship game tonight in Topeka Kansas.
The Warriors got goals in the first period by Brad Chapman and Chris Eckler push ahead of the Ice Dogs, and heading into the 3rd period the Warriors held on to a 2-1 advantage. Michigan was out shot 11-5 in the 3rd period as the Fairbanks Ice Dogs pressured Warriors goaltender Robert Tadazak who made 27 saves in the loss.
The Warriors are anticipating an early afternoon return to Flint, on Sunday afternoon.
