
Warriors, Ice Dogs to Play for Robertson Cup

The Michigan Warriors advanced to the championship game of the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Robertson Cup Championship Tournament after their 6-2 victory over the Amarillo Bulls in the semifinal game on Friday at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, Kan.
The Warriors will play the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the championship game on Saturday at 7:35 p.m. (CST).
Forward Scott Henegar recorded a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, and an assist in the Warriors' victory over the Bulls, and goaltender Robert Tadazak turned aside 28 shots.

The Robertson Cup crowns the playoff champion of the NAHL and USA Hockey's Tier II Junior A national champion.
At the conclusion of the three-game round robin, which ran from Tuesday through Thursday, the West Division champion Ice Dogs finished with the most points (six) to earn an automatic berth to the championship game.
With the fewest points at the conclusion of the round robin (zero), the NAHL's regular-season champion and host Topeka RoadRunners were eliminated from the tournament.
The South Division champion Bulls finished the round robin with a 2-1 record (four points), while the North Division champion Warriors finished at 1-2 (two).
