Utah Warriors News Release
Rapid City, SD â The Black Hills Red Dogs held on to defeat the Utah Warriors 49-47 last night in Rapid City, South Dakota. In classic Warrior-Red Dogs series fashion the game came down to the final play. These two teams have now split four games with neither team winning by more than six, and the total point spread of one point.
Warrior quarterback Doug Smith started the game after being knocked out of last week's game, but went down again. Cole Cooper stepped in and got the Warriors in the end zone cutting the Red Dogs lead to two, but the on-side kick bounced out-of-bounds and Black Hills sealed the win.
Utah travels to Sioux Falls, South Dakota next Saturday for a game with the Storm. Utah defeated the Storm at the E-Center on March 22, 51-49. The Warriors to the E-Center on June 5 at 7:00 pm when they host the Beaumont Drillers.
