
Warriors Beat the Blue in Overtime, 113-103

ORLANDO, FL - The Santa Cruz Warriors (11-4) beat the Oklahoma City Blue (8-7) in overtime Saturday afternoon, 113-103. The Warriors outscored the Blue, 10-0, in overtime to win their third overtime game (3-0 in OT games). Santa Cruz finished the regular season with an 11-4 record and will begin the playoffs on Monday, March 8.
Warrior guards Isaiah Reese and Jeremy Lin each scored five points in the overtime period and combined for 55 of the Warriors 113 total points. Reese led all Warriors scorers and earned his first double-double of the season with 29 points and 11 assists, while Lin tallied 26 points and five assists for the game.
Santa Cruz had a six-point lead, 103-97, with 1:20 left before the Blue scored three baskets in-a-row to tie the game with 23.6 seconds on the clock and held on to send the game to overtime.
The Blue started the second half on a 7-0 run to tie the game, 53-53. Santa Cruz went on a 10-0 run midway through the third to gain a six-point lead, 70-64. The Blue hit back-to-back threes in the final minute of the third to cut the lead to three going into the fourth quarter, 79-76.
Santa Cruz trailed the entire first quarter but was able to hold the Blue to 20 points in the second quarter and take a seven-point lead into halftime, 53-46.
Selom Mawugbe finished with eight points, six assists and six blocks for Santa Cruz. Dusty Hannahs (13 points), Ryan Taylor (12) and Elijah Pemberton (11) all scored in double figures.
Oklahoma City Thunder two-way center Moses Brown led the Blue with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Phil Booth added 14 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
