Elgin Racers News Release
The Elgin Warriors (formerly Windy City) of the International Basketball League announce the signings of their General Manager and head coach. Jim Cook, the new GM, is also the men's head coach with Judson College basketball. He coached locally for 13 years in the AAU basketball program. He and his wife Vicki and their 14 year old son Jamal reside in Elgin. Jamal is a football player with Elgin HS.
"My connections within the community and colleges give me access to many good players," said Cook.
James Condill will be Elgin's new head coach; he was the 2002 NCCAA Regional Coach of the Year at Judson College. He grew up in Barrington, Illinois, which is right beside Elgin. His wife Dawn and two children, Lucas and Makra are active in their community. Lucas plays professional basketball in Germany while his daughter plays volleyball at Florida Atlantic University.
"It is my hope, and the hope of the owners of the Elgin Warriors that this team will become a source of pride and family enjoyment for the people of Elgin and the surrounding area," said Condill.
