Spokane Chiefs News Release
Wednesday night the Spokane Chiefs welcome the sixth and final team from the Eastern Conference when the Moose Jaw Warriors visit the Spokane Arena.
Every Wednesday, the Chiefs are teaming up with TicketsWest and 103.9 The Bob to hand out a special collector-s series Chiefs player magnet celebrating our 25th Anniversary. This season the Chiefs will feature two players on the magnet, one from this season along with a former player who made an impact on the Chiefs first 25 years in the WHL. The first 1,000 fans through the gates (and all full season ticket holders) receive a free player magnet at every Wednesday home game.
The Spokane Chiefs will host Moose Jaw in their first trip to the Arena since January 4th, 2008, a 5-4 shootout win by Spokane. The Chiefs were 1-7 on the power play and 5-6 on the penalty. Last year, Levko Koper had two goals and Mitch Whal had three points in last year-s 6-2 Spokane win in Moose Jaw. Stefan Ulmer also had a goal and an assist. In their last 15 games against Moose Jaw, the Chiefs are 8-4 with three ties. Spokane is 2-3 against the East Division this year with Moose Jaw being the final of the six teams to visit the Arena.
