BOSTON, Mass. - Baltimore Bayhawks attackman Matt Ward and goalkeeper Matt Russell have been honored as the Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the week ending July 9, 2006, it has been announced by league officials.

Ward scored a game-high six goals with three assists in the Bayhawks' 19-12 win over Boston on Saturday night, setting a league rookie record for points in a game. Ward was also named as the Bud Light Game MVP for the first time in his brief career.
