Warbirds Sign Seven Players for 2006 Season

BEAVERCREEK - Seven players have been signed to play for the Dayton Warbirds in their 2006 National Indoor Football League (NIFL) season. The players, along with three assistant coaches signed their contracts at a special event held at the Ervin J. Nutter Center on November 9 th.
Signing NIFL contracts for 2006 were Billy Back, Keith Brooks, Jason Jones, and Anthony Tyus, all returnees from the 2005 Dayton Warbirds. Newcomers to the team signing contracts were Brandon Godsey, Derrick Shepard, and Pat Willis.
All but Godsey were at the event.
"We're getting important guys back from last year's team," said Warbirds head Coach, Brian Wells. "Along with new faces, and a solid coaching staff, we are putting together the pieces of the puzzle for a solid team for 2006."
Coaches signing contracts at the event for 2006 were Brian Barrett, Brad Donathan, and Ickey Woods. Coaches signed, but not at the November 9 th event were Greg Bailey, Steve Carpenter, and Greg Lutz.
The Dayton Warbirds will once again play their home contests in the 9,500-seat Ervin J. Nutter Center at Wright State University.
