Warbirds Attack Rome

June 7, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) - Dayton Bulldogs News Release

Dayton, Ohio— With only three games left, the Dayton Warbirds are approaching the end of their regular season with hopes of finishing at 9-5, and continuing their Inaugural Season into the playoffs.

The Warbirds, an expansion team in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL), will travel to Rome, Georgia on Saturday June 11th for the first of three final games to take on the Renegades.

Having similar records and both teams coming off a loss on the road, this match up will be a push for the playoffs for both teams. The renegades are 3-2 at home, while the Warbirds are 1-3 on the road.

“The next three games are imperative for us to win,” Head Coach Matt King said. “We have made the necessary changes to win these games, and I look forward to taking Dayton to the playoffs in our first season.”

The Warbirds return to the Nutter Center on June 24th at 7pm for their last home game against the Atlantic East Division leader, River City Rage, and they will end their regular season at New Jersey on July 2nd.

All Warbirds tickets are on sale for $10 and can be purchased at the Nutter Center Box Office, any Ticketmaster location, or online at ticketmaster.com.
