Want to Perform the National Anthem at a Roughnecks Match?
January 14, 2016 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Tulsa News Release
Every U.S. based sporting event starts with the singing of the National Anthem, and we pride ourselves in having the best of the best every year beginning each game. The Tulsa Roughnecks FC and the Tulsa Drillers are planning to give select, local performers the opportunity to help us kick off each match in 2016.
The Drillers and Roughnecks FC are now asking for video applications from individuals and groups that are interested in performing the Star Spangled Banner prior to a baseball game or soccer match this summer.
To be considered, please send a video of yourself or your group performing the entire National Anthem to entertainment@tulsadrillers.com or a DVD to:
ONEOK Field
Attn: National Anthem
201 N. Elgin Ave.
Tulsa, OK 74120
Please include your name, daytime phone number and e-mail address with all submissions. If you have already performed the National Anthem at ONEOK Field, you do not need to re-submit an application. You will be considered along with all the new applicants.
All entries must be received by Friday, February 12th, 2016 to be eligible.
The submissions will be reviewed and we will contact a select number of participants to come to ONEOK Field on Saturday, February 20th for an INVITATION ONLY final audition.
"We love the fact that this provides local performers the opportunity to showcase their talent and be a part of our Drillers and Roughnecks family," said JJ Johnston, the Promotions Assistant for both clubs. "We look forward to all the amazing submissions we are sure will be coming as they have in the past years. We want to continue to have the best showcased in front of our Drillers and Roughnecks fans in 2016!"
