ADELANTO, Calif. - The JetHawks put up four runs in the seventh inning to come back to beat the High Desert Mavericks, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon at Mavericks Stadium.

The four runs were plenty for piggy-back starter Aaron West (1-1) who picked up his first win of the season. The right-hander, who was activated from the disabled list before the game, struck out five over four scoreless innings. He gave up three hits without walking a batter.

West followed starter Blair Walter's five solid innings. Walters allowed one run on two hits with four strike outs and two walks.

With two outs in the fifth inning, Walters walked Pat Brady before allowing a run-scoring double to Anthony Phillips. It was High Desert's only run of the game.

Lancaster stayed quiet until the seventh inning when they final strung hits together against starter Cameron Hobson (3-2). Telvin Nash scored to tie the when centerfielder Jamal Austin couldn't field Tyler Heineman's double cleanly. Heineman later scored on a Brandon Meredith single.

George Mieses came in from the bullpen and allowed a two-run home run to M.P. Cokinos to cap the scoring.

The JetHawks (17-12) will try to split the four-game series with the Mavericks (16-14) in the final game at Mavericks Stadium on Monday night at 7:05 pm. Chris Devenski and Brady Rodgers will throw for Lancaster.
