The Generals did their scoring in the second and third innings on Thursday night. James Jones (2x4, 2RBI) drilled an RBI triple to center scoring Steven Proscia (1x4, 2R) to give Jackson a 1-0 lead in the second frame. John Hicks (1x4, 2RBI, R) followed with a double that scored Jones and it was 2-0. The third run of the second inning came on an RBI groundout from Abraham Almonte (0x2, RBI) that scored Hicks.
Leading 3-1 in the third inning Jackson's Jones added his second RBI on the night with a single to center scoring Brad Miller (1x5, R). That was followed by a Hicks RBI groundout and Jack Marder (1x3, RBI) RBI infield single that plated Jones. Jackson took a 6-1 lead.
