Princeton WhistlePigs News Release

The Princeton Devil Rays baseball team and Wal-Mart of Princeton, WV have announced a joint venture in hopes of introducing more area youth to professional baseball in Princeton during the summer of 2005 through the formation of the Wal-Mart/P-Rays "Kids Club."

For a membership fee of $20.00, any boy or girl 12-years of age or under will receive a Princeton Rays "Kids Club" t-shirt, a Princeton Rays logo baseball, a club membership card, a set of the 2005 team's baseball cards, a chance to attend a private autograph session with the team, and (when wearing their Kids Club t-shirt) free admission to any of five Saturday regular season home games that the P-Rays will host at Hunnicutt Field during the summer of 2005.

It will be especially rewarding for three of the Kids Club members as Wal-Mart gift cards will be drawn for at the end of the season in the amounts of $100.00, $75.00, and $50.00. The number of Saturday home games attended by the members will determine which gift card amount that they will be eligible to receive if their name is drawn.

"The Kids Club concept is something that (Princeton Wal-Mart manager) Matt Keesecker and I have been working on since November. We both hope this is something that has the chance to become an annual tradition for professional baseball in Princeton," commented P-Rays General Manager Jim Holland in making the announcement.

People needing more information on the 2005 "Wal-Mart/Princeton Rays' Kids Club" can contact the P-Rays front office either by e-mail at raysball@sunlitsurf.com or by telephone at (304) 487-2000.
