Waco's Name and Logo to be Revealed

Waco, TX- Tri-States Indoor Professional Sports (TIPS) announced today it will hold a press conference at the Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo Complex (HOT) on Thursday at 11 a.m. on January 15, 2004. . The press conference is to announce the name and logo for the new Waco franchise in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL). The team will also announce the General Manager, Head Coach, and the date for the teams open tryout.

"This announcement has been a long time coming, the team name and the logo had been developed some months ago, but we had details with the HOT complex that needed to be worked out. We think the name will fit perfectly with the city of Waco and the state of Texas. The office will be open and season tickets for the exciting inaugural season will go on sale Friday January 16, 2004." Says TIPS part owner and Director of Operations Garmez Parks.

The NIFL, entering its fourth year in the 2004 season, is composed of twenty-six teams across the United States, from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2003 season was completed with the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, of Wheeling, West Virginia, winning their second championship in a row.
