MUSTANGS WALK-OFF ON GF

For the second time this season, Billings walked-off with a win over the Voyagers, scoring the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday. Trailing 6-1 entering the eighth, Great Falls rallied to tie it. Antonio Rodriguez got things started with a grounder that was booted by Shane Mardirosian, scoring the first two runs of the frame. Johan Cruz added an RBI single, and another run scored on a passed ball, before Grant Massey doubled in the tying run. In the ninth with the winning run at second, Voyager righty Lucas Shearrow uncorked a pair of wild pitches, allowing the winning run to score and seal a 6-5 Billings win.

ASCENDANT ANTONIO

Although the offense scuffled for much of the road trip, Voyager outfielder Antonio Rodriguez was one of the lone bright spots, going 9-for-24 (.375) on the trip. The 20-year old Dominican homered three times, drove in seven, and scored five times. Rodriguez is currently riding a season-high seven-game hit streak, and his six homers and 24 RBIs are second on the Voyagers this year.

TOUGH TRIP

Last night's loss finished off a tough trip for Great Falls, as they lost six of seven, including a season-high five in a row to start off the trip and end the first half. The Voyagers were swept in a pair of doubleheaders on the trip, getting broomed in Missoula on Friday, before getting swept again on Sunday in Billings. The Voyager offense had an especially tough time, averaging 3.6 runs per game and hitting .250 over the seven-game trip. Their travels also saw Great Falls post their lowest hit total of the year in Sunday's game two in Billings, as they mustered just four hits. On the flip side, the Voyagers allowed their opponents to hit .307 in those seven games.

UP NEXT: HELENA

The Voyagers return to Centene Stadium tonight to begin a four-game series against the Helena Brewers which will lead Great Falls into next week's All-Star break. Great Falls dominated the Brewers in the first half of the season, taking six of the seven meetings, with the finale in Helena cancelled due to rain. The Voyagers have won all four meetings so far at Centene Stadium.
