Syracuse Crunch News Release
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Voice of the Syracuse Crunch Dan D'Uva will host a daily radio show called "In the Booth with Dan D'Uva" on ESPN Radio 97.7 FM/1200 AM, a Galaxy Communications station, from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning today.
"In the Booth with Dan D'Uva" is a radio show where D'Uva will offer his insights on all sports, including hockey. The show will feature segments, such as "Who You Rooting For?" and "D'Uva's Doghouse," along with interviews with a variety of sports personalities. D'Uva's first show will welcome NBC hockey announcer Mike "Doc" Emrick at 3:05, Tampa Bay Lightning and Syracuse Crunch defenseman Slater Koekkoek at 3:30 and another surprise guest.
D'Uva just completed his fourth season as broadcaster for the Crunch and has called some of the team's most historic games, including the 2014 Toyota Frozen Dome Classic and rinkside television coverage for the 2016 Toyota AHL All-Star Classic, which was broadcast to more than 110 million households. He also hosts "Crunch Weekly," the team's live radio talk show at Tully's Good Times, throughout the hockey season.
Prior to joining the Crunch, D'Uva hosted "Sports Line 89" on WJPZ in Syracuse and "One-on-One," New York City's longest running sports call-in show, on WFUV New York. He also called play-by-play for the Trenton Devils of the ECHL, while hosting the team's "Along the Boards" radio show and contributing to "Bill Clement's Hockey World" on WBCB-FM.
Galaxy Communications is one of the premiere privately owned independent media groups in the country. With eight stations in Syracuse and six in Utica, it continues to be a dominant presence in these markets. Though radio will always remain at the core of its business, it has evolved to meet its clients' shifting needs over the years, as changing technology continues to play a major role in the way companies operate. Galaxy Communications features events planning, sports marketing and digital media divisions, making it easy for a Central New York business owner to get their messaging out to a target client base in a streamlined and effortless way.
