Vipers Release 2003 Schedule

Huntsville, AL - The af2 league office has released the 2003 schedule and for the Tennessee Valley Vipers to reach the ArenaCup they will have to go through their toughest schedule in three seasons.
The Vipers are moving to the South Division of the American Conference with the Birmingham Steeldogs, Columbus Wardogs, Florida Firecats and the Macon Knights. The combined records of the five teams was 50-30 last season.
The Vipers will open the season at the defending National Conference Champion, Florida Firecats on the weekend of April 5-6.. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, April 11 against the 2000 and 2001 champion, Quad City Steamwheelers.
The Vipers will host the defending South Division Champion, Macon, on May 17 and host the Charleston Swamp Foxes for the first time since 2000 on May 24.
The Vipers will play the Wichita Stealth for the first time on June 7 and the Columbus Wardogs for the first time on June 14.
Tennessee Valley will visit the Steeldogs on June 21 and Birmingham will make the trip to Huntsville on the following weekend on June 28. They wrap up the home schedule on July 12 when they host the Florida Firecats and wrap up the season at Quad City and at Macon
All Viper home games will kickoff at 7:30. All dates and times are subject to change.
