
Vipers Open AFL Training Camp Monday

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Alabama Vipers will welcome over 40 players to training camp Monday as they get set to embark on the inaugural 2010 Arena Football season.
    The Vipers will open their two-week camp at 5 p.m. in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center.
    "It's an exciting time for us and we are ready to get to work,'' said Vipers coach Dean Cokinos, whose team opens the regular season April 3 at Bossier-Shreveport and hosts Jacksonville April 9 at the VBC in its home opener.
    "We have some great talent coming in and most of the guys have NFL and AFL experience. It'll be a great camp with a lot of competition."
    Alabama will cut its roster to 30 next Saturday and set its 23-man roster March 29.
