Vipers announce partnership with 3WR Radio

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), announced today that they have formed a partnership with 3WR Family Radio, which will carry all 76 regular season game broadcasts in 2004-05, as well as all playoff games.

3WR (WWWR AM) Family Radio is broadcast on 910 AM in Roanoke and 990 AM in the New River Valley, as well as on the internet at www.3WRadio.com. Owned by Perception Media Group, Inc., 3WR has recently reached agreement with Fox Sports Net, which will be broadcast on the station from 6:00PM-5:00AM once the transition takes place.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to have hockey broadcasts back on our station," said Barbara Evans, Station Manager of 3WR. "It is really nice to be able to offer such a diverse range of programming on our station, and to attract such a wide range of audiences."

Vipers radio broadcasts will be called by the team's director of broadcasting Matt Rosen. Fans can access the game broadcasts not only on the radio, but also via the world wide web on both 3WR's home page (www.3WRadio.com) and the official site of the Roanoke Valley Vipers (www.valleyvipershockey.com).
