
Vipers Add Former AFL Defensive Back

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Tennessee Valley Vipers head coach, Kevin Guy, announced today the team has been assigned former Grand Rapids Rampage and Mississippi Valley State defensive back, Joe Todd.
Todd spent the 2000 and 2001 seasons with the Rampage and played the middle on defense during the 2001 Arena Bowl Championship season. He played in 16 games for Grand Rapids and recorded 55.0 tackles, two interceptions and 22 pass break ups. He played in 11 games in 2001 and recorded 43.5 tackles, two interceptions and 15 pass break ups.
He played at Mississippi Valley State from 1997-2000. He led the Delta Devils in interceptions and pass break ups and was named MVP of the defense as a senior. He also lettered in track.
The Vipers placed fullback/linebacker, Marvin Strong on short-term injured reserve with a pulled right hamstring.
