
FireAnts Get Ready for Landsharks Friday

Tupelo FireAnts News Release
The Tupelo FireAnts (1-10) will take on the Atlantic South Division-leading Lake Charles Land Sharks (10-2) tomorrow at the BancorpSouth Center starting at 7:05pm.
Tupelo quarterback Darryl Carter will start under center for the second time this season after starting last Friday night's 57-14 loss to the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. The combo of Eric Bingham and Ricky Franklin will lead the âAnts on defense. Lake Charles will be led on offense by halfback David Winbush who has amassed 561 yards on the ground, with 18 touchdowns. The Sharks defense will be led by lineman Kendal Shello, who has piled up 13 sacks this season, and defensive back Warren St. Junious, who has a team-high nine interceptions.
In other FireAnts news, the 2003 Youth Training Camp wraps up today at 5:00pm at the BancorpSouth Center. Two sessions were held this past week as area youth learned the football basics from the pros. Today's activities will wrap up with final drills and scrimmages. During Friday's game, fans in attendance will be able to check out the campers as they perform drills on the field during halftime and also receive awards for their performance.
