Vignjevic Named to USL Team of the Week

Edmonton, July 2, 2004 â Edmonton Aviators Soccer Club midfielder Nikola Vignjevic was named to the USL A-League team of the week for the week ending June 27.
Vignjevic scored Edmonton's lone goal in a 1-1 draw at Calgary on June 25.
The goal came early in the game as the ball fell in front of Vignjevic and his 25 yard volley curled its way into the top corner of the net. The goal was the prettiest scored by the Aviators this season and could easily be one of the goals of the year this USL season.
The game in Calgary ended as a 1-1 draw while the second half of the home and home series saw Edmonton earn a 1-0 win at home.
The Aviators Men are next in action on July 4 in Vancouver (8pm MST).
