The Rapids have announced an Official Viewing Party location for tonight's USA vs. Mexico game. Join the Rapids staff and fans for the Official Viewing Party at The Sports Column (on the giant tv's!), located at 1930 Blake St. in Lodo. Kickoff is at 5:55pm MT. Spread the word, fans of all ages are invited to attend! Wear your USA gear!

The game is sold out; more than 65,000 fans purchased tickets and will be expected at the game in Houston. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN2 and Telemundo as Colorado's own Pablo Mastroeni and Team USA take on Mexico again in a huge rematch from last year's World Cup!

The match, already slated to be the biggest in Texas soccer history, is now expected to draw the third largest crowd ever to see the U.S. Men's National Team outside of the state of California. This will also be the fourth-largest attended U.S. vs. Mexico match in the United States.

The game, a rematch of the U.S.'s 2-0 win in the 2002 FIFA World Cup Round of 16, will be the Men's National Team's second ever played in Houston. It will also be only the second meeting between these two rivals in the state. In seven games since 1990, the MNT has never lost in the state of Texas.

RAPIDS FACE COLUMBUS THIS SATURDAY; VIEWING PARTY AT AZTEC SOL

The Rapids will travel to Crew Stadium this Saturday, May 10 to face off against Brian McBride and the rest of the Columbus Crew. The game will be broadcast live in Colorado at 5:30pm on both Fox Sports Net and Fox Sports World.

Join the Rapids staff and fans for the official Away-Game Viewing Party at Aztec Sol, located at 2219 West 32nd Ave. in Denver (32nd and Zuni). Drink specials will be provided and fans of all ages are encouraged to attend!

RAPIDS OFFERING DISCOUNTED SEATS FOR JUNE 7 GAME IN LA

The Rapids have secured seats for fans that want to travel to the Home Depot Center in LA on June 7 to see the Rapids take on the Galaxy in inaugural game at the USA's newest Sports Stadium!

The Rapids have arranged for specially-discounted ticket prices: they are $22 per person (normally $30) and are located in Section 127. This will be the official Rapids supporters' section for this game! Sec. 127 is located on the East Corner of the stadium (camera side), on the first level of the stadium right next to the pitch. Here's your chance to support the Rapids in the Galaxy's home stadium and get yourself seen nationwide on ESPN-2!

All orders must be placed in advance through the Rapids office. We will accept credit cards over the phone at (303) 299-1598 or via email at rapids@mlsnet.com. RAPIDS TO HOST CLINIC AND GAME IN COLORADO SPRINGS

The Colorado Springs Sports Corporation and the Colorado Rapids are partnering to host the "Colorado Rapids Challenge" in Colorado Springs over the next few days.

The first opportunity for Colorado Springs-area residents to see the Rapids will be when select Rapids players and coaches conduct a youth soccer clinic tonight, May 8th, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The clinic is open to children aged 6-16 and will be held at Sand Creek Stadium. (This clinic is SOLD OUT!)

Then, this coming Tuesday, May 13th, also at Sand Creek Stadium, the Colorado Rapids will take on the Boulder Rapids Reserve in a game that begins at 7:00pm. MAY 17 3v3 ADULT PREGAME TOURNAMENT

The Rapids will host a 3 v 3 soccer competition outside INVESCO Field on the Sports Legends Mall prior to the game against the MetroStars on Saturday, May 17th. Each team will be guaranteed three fifteen-minute games. There will be a total of sixteen teams allowed in the competition, divided into four groups of four. The top two teams in each group will advance to the single elimination playoff round. A first & second place Final will be held, with a luxury suite being awarded to the champion team, and the second place team will receive 10 groups tickets to a future Rapids game. Six players will be allowed on each team roster. The entry fee per team is $180, and includes 20 Touchline seats for the May 17th game. RAPIDS 2, Crew 1 Saturday, August 10, 2002 INVESCO Field at Mile High

Denver, Colorado- Behind a game-winning goal and an assist from forward Chris Henderson, the Colorado Rapids beat the visiting Columbus Crew 2-1 Saturday evening in the Crew's first visit to INVESCO Field at Mile High.

Forward Chris Carrieri's header put the Rapids ahead in the 57th minute tallying his ninth season goal. Colorado doubled their lead in the 64th minute when Mark Chung found Henderson in the penalty area. Henderson blasted a right-footed shot into the upper corner of the Columbus net giving the Rapids a 2-0 advantage.

The Crew made things interesting by pulling within one goal during the 85th minute. Crew defender Chad McCarty stole the ball from Carlos Valderrama at midfield. McCarty found forward Edson Buddle who split the Rapids defensive pairing of Robin Fraser and Steven Herdsman before slotting the ball away past Rapid goalkeeper David Kramer.
