
Verizon Wireless To Host Special Night With Huntsville Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The first 1,500 fans to attend Verizon Wireless Night with the Huntsville Havoc Hockey Team this weekend will receive a free hockey puck-shaped mouse pad, and two lucky fans will win a new Blackberry 8830 and Blackberry Pearl wireless phones. Verizon Wireless Night will be held this Saturday, December 8th at 7:30 p.m.
Verizon Wireless proudly announced its relationship with Huntsville's professional ice hockey team in November.
Jeremiah Knight, Director of the Huntsville Call Center will be speaking on the ice during the first intermission and game attendees will have the opportunity to compete in contests for the chance to win a new Samsung Juke. This ultra-sleek MP3 player that flips into a phone lets you listen to your favorite tracks in popular music formats.
The design keeps the Juke compact when closed, with unique swivel action that quickly swings open to talk. The Juke is also VZ NavigatorSM capable enabling users to get GPS turn-by-turn audible directions. Plus, this phone includes an integrated VGA Camera and Bluetooth® Stereo Support for Music.

Verizon Wireless' partnership with the Huntsville Havoc consists of a three-year relationship in which Verizon Wireless will be the exclusive and official wireless carrier for the team.
"Sponsored games are fairly commonplace in minor league sports. Verizon Wireless, however, is stepping it up a notch with their involvement with the Havoc," Havoc General Manager, Kevin Walker said. "From providing a great giveaway mouse pad to involving their local employee base at the arena, they maximize their exposure and take great advantage of what we have to offer. Saturday, December 8th will no doubt become the blueprint for future sponsored games."
